There some cities all over the world whose history is very interesting. Some civilizations have built new cities on top of the ancient ruins while some have built new cities near the ancient monuments. There are many modern cities that we call the new era cities. Nevertheless, their history is thousands of years old and we are unaware of it. Let’s talk today about some of the most modern and popular cities that you will be amazed to know about.


Luxor city located on the east bank of the Nile River in southern Egypt. Currently with a population of over 500,000 but was largely inhabited in the 16th century. The city was one of the richest cities in the world. Its surrounded by large temples, royal tombs, and the Valley of Queens.

It is a tunnel built on human remains and about 300,000 people pass through every year.

Nevertheless unhappily, German bombing during World War II destroyed ancient London. However, a few historical ruins remain in the city, one of them being the Roman Wall of London.


Seoul is currently the most populous city in South Korea, currently with a population of over 10 million people. However, the city’s history is also 2,000 years old; the city’s base is Baekje inhabitants. Seoul counted among the modern cities, but the ancient walls are still present in the center of the city.


Nimrod is located just 30 kilometers south of the Iraqi city of Mosul. Historians believe that it was the capital of the world’s first empire dating back to 800 BC. Large palaces from here in the early 1840s and the temples rediscovered.
